Simple Simon vs Ed Matthews TikTok Boxing Date: UK start time, full fight card, ring walks, live stream and how to follow

TikTok rivals Ed Matthews and Simple Simon had fans excited for their boxing showdown after their press conference descended into chaos.

We have seen the likes of Jake Paul, Logan Paul and KSI trade in social media for the boxing ring, and now it is the turn of a group of UK-based TikTokers.

The card, put on by KingPyn Boxing, will be headlined by Matthews, 19, and Simon Colbran, 51, otherwise known as ‘Simple Simon’ .

The press conference between the pair had all the antics one would expect from such an event with coffins, sex toys and punches thrown.

But their bad blood actually extends much further than that when teenager Matthews publicly called out his middle-aged rival.

Matthews accused Simon of forcibly associating himself with popular TikTok star Cal the Dragon in order to exploit Cal’s fame and increase his own following and their feud has only escalated since then.

The duo will meet on July 16th at the Indigo at the O2.

Unusually, the eight-fight event all features showdowns that the public have voted for after deciding which bouts they want to see.

Colbran and Matthews are the co-main event and are expected to ring walk at around 10pm UK time.

Simple Simon vs Ed Matthews and the entire PPV will be streamed live on YouTube, although information about how to buy access is yet to be released.

Simple Simon vs Ed Matthews: What has been said?

Asked about fighting his 19-year-old opponent, 51-year-old Colbran told Pitch Side: “I’m confident. I wouldn’t get in the ring if I didn’t think I was going to win.

“But I’m not going to be like him. He’s a cocky little s*** isn’t he? Let him do all the talking.

“I’m realistic. I know what the situation is. I’ve got to train hard and be at my best ability and my best fitness to beat him.

“I’m not stupid, you know? He’s in really good shape, he is, that’s the only compliment I’m going to give him.

“But he is in good shape and I know I’ve got to give my all and put myself through the paces to win that fight.”
