Amy, who is from Caerphilly, was unable to pick up her award due to her Strictly schedule
Strictly Come Dancing’s Tom Fletcher surprised his dance partner with a Bafta Cymru award live on TV.
Amy, who is from Caerphilly, won the award for her documentary Strictly Amy: Crohn’s and Me.
The pair appeared on Strictly- It Takes Two on Thursday with host Janette Manrara to talk about their performance last weekend.
On Thursday’s show, host Janette said: “Amy, last week we revealed that you won a Welsh Bafta for your documentary and I think we have got something very special that Tom wants to give you today.”
Tom then presented Amy with the Bafta Cymru award, adding: “Because you were busy teaching me how to dance you couldn’t pick up your award, so here it is- congratulations!”
Tom and Amy then talked about last weekend’s performance, when they faced a few mishaps.
During their Halloween performance, Tom’s mic pack fell off, and Amy later slipped.
However, they still pulled through with a score of 29 from the judges.
Tom said: “It was so much fun! I know I could have danced it better but we are here another week and I get another chance to show that I hopefully deserve to be here.”
Viewers were also shown some clips of Tom and Amy in training, with the pair of them constantly laughing.
Tom said: “Everyone thinks Amy is this sweet girl but she’s full of mischief. Sometimes I have to remind her I want to learn to dance!”
Tom and Amy will perform a Paso Doble on Saturday’s show.
Strictly’s It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6:30pm on BBC Two.
