Euphoria star Angus Cloud has sent Irish fans reeling as he returned to his ancestral home of Offaly for a visit this week.
The Hollywood actor took to Instagram to share the exciting news, posting a photo of himself posing on a peaceful forest walk in Cushina in County Offaly.
The young actor, who plays Fezco in the hit HBO series, has previously been open about his connections to the Emerald Isle, proudly flaunting his Irish heritage.
Before receiving his breakthrough role in Euphoria, Angus revealed to the Wall Street Journal that he had actually planned to relocate to Ireland, saying: ‘I was gonna move to Ireland for a while. All my family lives out there.’
The actors plans were then thwarted as he rose to fame on the hit HBO show, deciding to remain in the US as a result.
Speaking to VIP Magazine, one of Angus’ relatives revealed that the star is currently visiting as part of a family reunion, as he looks at ‘retracing his roots.’
He spent the day with his cousins visiting beautiful heritage sites such as Clonmacnoise, the spectacular monastery on the banks of the river Shannon. He partied the evening away then in JJ Houghs,’ Michelle Hough divulged.
‘Angus loved the live music and was seen dancing away with his family,’ she added, revealing that the 24-year-old felt right at home during his time in Offaly.
Angus wasn’t the only Euphoria star exploring Ireland this week, with co-star Maude Apatow taking to Instagram to share some snaps enjoying the emerald isle.
Maude, who plays Angus’ love interest Lexie in the show, visited alongside her famous family including mum Leslie Mann, dad Jud Apatow, and sister Iris.
The celebrity clan took to social media to share some snaps from their holiday, as they enjoyed themselves at the Guinness Storehouse.
Who knows, maybe Ireland will be the location for a mini Euphoria reunion after all.
