The Spaniard shocked Terriers supporters during the summer with his sudden exit from the club. He had been manager at the John Smith Stadium for two years, leading the team to the play-off final against Nottingham Forest last May.
However, a 1-0 defeat at Wembley proved to be his final game in charge at the club as he resigned some weeks following the result.
In the time since, he has been relieved of his duties as Olympiacos boss after only six weeks as manager of the Greek outfit.
Speaking to Spanish paper AS, he has opened up on his exit from the Championship side following his short stint with Olympiacos.
“After that promotion [as Leeds United coach], I received a call from Huddersfield and I spent two seems with the team until this summer,” said Corberan, via Sport Witness.
“I put an end to the contract that linked us because I wanted to aspire to a club ambitious in sporting achievements, and that was the reason why Olympiacos arrived six weeks ago.”

TRUE OR FALSE – DANNY SCHOFIELD IS THE CURRENT HUDDERSFIELD TOWN MANAGER
Corberan led Huddersfield to 20th and 3rd place finishes in his two seasons as manager of the club.
Since his departure, replacement Danny Schofield has also been sacked after only 10 weeks in the role.
The search for a new manager continues, with the team currently in between fixtures due to the international break.
It was a huge moment when Corberan left and it has not worked out well for either party so far.
Huddersfield are mired in the relegation zone amid a horrendous start to the new season and Corberan’s reputation has taken a hit with his Greek adventure.
Despite the club searching for a new manager, it is unlikely that he would return with these comments effectively ruling out that possibility.
It remains to be seen who will arrive at the Championship side, but an appointment needs to be made soon ahead of such a busy upcoming schedule.
